Jun 13, 2026"We ate at Casa Hirscher in mid-September while on a Transylvania road trip. Casa Hirscher deserves to be in the Michelin Guide! The restaurant is beautiful, and you can feel you are in for an elevated dining experience when you sit down at your table. This was the best dining experience I've ever had in Romania, and a big part of this was because of our server, Florentina. She was kind, patient with our questions, explained menu items so well, and her wine service was impeccable! We had cocktails and ordered a bottle of 1000 de Chipuri's 2020 Fetească Neagră, which was recommended by Florentina. This is the best Fetească Neagră (FN) I have ever had, and it's the first wine I've had that's 17% alcohol! I had asked for a 2017 Apogeum, which they did not have, and I'm so glad because it enabled me to find this bottle from 1000 de Chipuri (1000 Faces). This is such a smooth, well-balanced wine, and I cannot wait to visit 1000 de Chipuri Winery as I've heard a lot of good things about it. First, we were brought a delicious, complimentary starter. For our entrées, my buddy had STINCO DI MAIALE CON VERDURE (Oven Baked Pork Shank with Sautéed Vegetables); I had the PETTO D’ANATRA CARAMELIZZATO (duck breast with spicy sauce, sesame, and mixed pan-fried mushrooms, which also came with some awesome mashed potatoes); and my wife had the FILETTO AL TARTUFO (beef fillet with truffle crust). For dessert, we shared NOUGAT GLACÉ, which we were ecstatic about because not only was it so good, but it's gluten-free, and my wife is celiac. All of the dishes were outstanding! I tried the pork shank; it was so tender and juicy. Duck can be hit or miss for me, and it always feels like I'm spinning the roulette wheel when I order it, but this was the best duck I've ever had, and the spicy sauce was amazing. My wife loves anything with truffles, and her beef fillet was cooked to perfection. Thank you to Florentina and everyone in the kitchen for an amazing dinner and helping give my friend from the US, who was in Romania for the first time, an incredible culinary experience that will definitely be at the forefront of his memories of his Tour de Transylvania."

May 20, 2026"It was my first solo travel experience, and the restaurant offered all the comfort and coziness I was looking for to end my day. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. It was the best chicken I’ve ever had, and the wine recommended by the waiter paired perfectly with it. The prices are absolutely worth it considering the quality. Without a doubt, it’s my new favorite restaurant."

Apr 18, 2026"We came to Casa Hirscher for lunch while exploring Braşov. The servers are professional and welcoming. The atmosphere is phenomenal, you just want to stay awhile and relax. The food is fresh and delicious. A lovely pot of delicious hot tea is exactly what we needed on a cold early spring afternoon. I highly recommend this phenomenal restaurant!"

Apr 10, 2026"To start was bruscetta bread perfectly toasted with fresh tomatoes. Pesto Penne Gorgonzola. The al dente penne was perfect and had a rich velvety sauce of basil pesto with a tang of Gorgonzola cheese. The Gorgonzola brings a punchy, blue-cheese depth that’s softened by the nutty, garlicky pesto. It’s a bold combination—one that might intimidate mild palates. Each bite is creamy, savory, and slightly sharp, with the pesto adding a fresh lift that keeps the richness in check."

Apr 07, 2026"very pleasant experience as always. the restaurant is very nice and cozy, the staff attentive. they served us with an amuse-bouche which was delicious, with pumpkin purée. had for starters the pomodori bruschetta, a salad and rosemary fries. for the main course we had linguini with pomodori (originally tagliatelle but the staff accommodated my request in changing the type of pasta) and tagliatelle with mushrooms prepared at the end in a parmesan cheese wheel. great dinner overall, a place I always come back in Brasov."

Mar 29, 2026"Very nice ambience, good music, and spotless, attentive service. The food was very good overall. We started with the bruschette, which were decent, with perfectly toasted bread. For the main courses, the three of us had the carbonara, the chef’s cut of pork, the Tournedos Rossini, and the duck breast with cherries. The carbonara felt authentic and well executed, though I think it could have used just a little more egg yolk for an even richer texture. The Tournedos Rossini was cooked perfectly, and the bread was a very nice touch. My only note there is that, for my taste, the dish could have benefited from a subtle forest fruit sauce or another slightly acidic fruit element to balance the demi-glace, truffle notes, and overall richness with a bit more freshness. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal, and I would definitely come again."

Mar 27, 2026"My friend and I were so grateful for this beautiful restaurant, we arrived in Brasov very late in the evening and, despite being near to closing, they very kindly acomodated us. In fact, despite being the end of a probably a busy evening, they still gave us truly excellent service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, it's beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The food so delicious we had to go back, and so we returned on our final evening in Brasov - first and last night! I had a really delicious spaghetti carbonara the first night and an amazingly good duck dish the second, but the menu has so many other fantastic options. Feri was our server both times and he was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant!"
